    South East Melbourne (SEM) Magic Basketball Club operates as a participating member club under the governance of the South East Melbourne Basketball Group, a registered not-for-profit(NPF) organisation.


    The Committee of Management (COM) and it's supporting subcommittees are responsible for providing strategic leadership, governance oversight, and policy direction for the club. Rather than managing day-to-day activities, the Committee focuses on the long-term success, sustainability, and accountability of the organisation.


    These Committees works to ensure that SEM Magic remains aligned with its values, complies with all legal and regulatory requirements, manages financial and organisational risk appropriately, and continues to provide quality opportunities for members, players, coaches, and volunteers.

    The Committee does not manage routine administration, registrations, member enquiries, or daily operational matters, which are delegated to the Operations Team.

The COM oversees the club's governance framework, strategic direction, financial stewardship, and committee structure, ensuring all subcommittees operate in alignment with the club's values, objectives, and long-term vision.
