Overview
The SEM Magic Operations Team is responsible for the day-to-day administration, communication, and operational delivery of club services.
While the Committee provides strategic direction and governance oversight, the Operations Team ensures the club functions effectively on a daily basis by managing member services, registrations, communications, merchandise, operational procedures, and general administration.
The Operations Team serves as the primary point of contact for members and families and works to ensure that enquiries are managed efficiently and members receive the support they need. -

Meet the Operations Team
Jason Weidemann
General Manager & Director of Coaching
Jason Weidemann is the Co-Founder, General Manager, and Director of Coaching at South East Melbourne Magic Basketball Club.
With over 30 years of coaching experience and more than 20 years in sports management, Jason provides leadership across the club's operations, administration, coaching, and player development programs.
Jason's responsibilities include:

As the club's primary operational contact, Jason works closely with members, families, coaches, and volunteers to support the day-to-day running and ongoing development of the club.

Marinka Winton
SEM Basketball President
Marinka Winton serves as elected President of South East Melbourne Basketball Group and serves as it's primary representative to the members of SEM Magic Basketball Club.
Marinka provides an important governance link between SEM Magic and the broader basketball community and supports matters relating to organisational governance, policy, and leadership.
Her responsibilities include:

✨Liaison with the South East Melbourne Basketball Group
Marinka serves in a volunteer capacity. Members should allow 24-48 business hours for responses to non-urgent enquiries.

Amanda Grills

Amanda is a valued volunteer who manages all aspects of the club's merchandise program.
Her responsibilities include:

✨Member support regarding apparel and merchandise purchases
As Amanda serves in a volunteer capacity, members are asked not to expect immediate responses to phone calls. Email and text message enquiries will typically receive a response within 24-48 business hours (Monday-Friday).
